Sir you’re informative but you don’t know how to teach.
Do more of these
Thank you for really explaining this. Well about the training requirements. I am a truck driver and a lot of the times I haul hazardous material. 9 times out of 10. The shipper has done something incorrectly. What is the enforcement, how do you report a shipper that has no idea what a shipper certification is? One that doesn't even have any labels? What am I supposed to do as a driver?
The data could be falsified, the battery could be a scam and "look" like it's supposed to but everyone should still check and verify. Check Amp/Hour claims for sure. I've already spotted a few fakes out there.
The Wh rating of a lithium ion battery is not a measurement of how much energy (in Watts) the battery will expend over one hour. A Watt is one Joule per second. An hour is 3600s. One Wh is 3600 J. The Wh rating of a battery is a measure of how much energy is in the battery.
The best videos on you tube
really?
EV batteries are class 9 hazards ,
Essentially correct, however Lithium metal cells and batteries come in a much wider range than what is described. These larger lithium metal cells and batteries are use in industrial applications of various types.
Thanks for checking out the video, Julian! Please stay tuned for more "highlights" from this 30-minute livestream. You can expect to see short videos about lithium battery energy density for shippers, packing arrangement and proper shipping names, and international modal regulations on this channel VERY soon. Have a great weekend! -RM
my man painted his face for this video and almost noone watched it. Well, i appreciate you big dawg

This guy is awesome! His delivery is energetic and informative. Keep the videos coming!
Rob, as usual, your videos are informative and entertaining. I always watch them even if I think I know a subject well because you always refresh my memory and sometimes I learn new things too! Thanks.
What do you when you find out that someone took one or two placard . A truck stop. If your truck stop doesn't have two of your placard
This presentation is on point! I like the way he presents it with a bit of comic comments, which in my opinion, makes listening and understanding the subject more interesting..Thank you!
Amazing video. I am a field tech who will be training for a field chemist position. Like how you explain each group.
Very clearly explained. Thanks!
When reusing the Lithium cells from ( thousands ! ) of discarded disposable vapes , NEVER charge more than 4.2 volts per cell , and if using multiple high voltage stacks without proper battery management electronics , the only safe option is to charge each cell individually , this takes AGES , but is quite safe ( tried - n - tested ) ...... DAVE™🛑
This is very helpful
Trying to warranty ship a 200ah 2400watt hour battery back to dealer. A 200 mile distance. Have the proper packaging... 3480/ class 9 with proper label with phone number. Fedex nor UPS will ship it. What is going on? The Dealer is now attempting to help with the return which they should be responsible for providing a method to return the battery.
where do you get the warning stickers from if you are shipping a cell phone? I don't see anywhere in eBay to have them print one of those for you when you print your shipping label when you sell a cell phone on eBay. I just sold two this morning and don't know how to mark them appropriately. Thanks in advance for telling me where to get the warning sticker from.
Great question, and congratulations on the sale! There are many commercial suppliers of hazmat labels, markings, packaging, etc. A web search will yield a range of options to purchase labels/markings required to ship. Aside from the mandatory training that Lion provides for shippers of lithium batteries - see Lion.com/Lithium - other resources to consider for assistance would be your package carrier (i.e., USPS, UPS, FedEx, etc.) or the US DOT's Hazardous Materials Info Center: www.phmsa.dot.gov/standards-rulemaking/hazmat/hazardous-materials-information-center Happy holidays, and happy shipping!
I spilled hazmat on the floor
Very helpful, thanks!
Haha Roger should win an Oscar 😂
How to preserve a 18650 for a long time without using it? It`s enough to charge it once every 6 months, and store it in dry and room temperature? Thank you !!
Now we are in the electric time, but we have to study a lot about batt's!!! But this vid is ok!!!
"Contact the manufacturer". LOL. Good luck with that.

I am a hazmat employee and my hazmat employer requires all drivers to sign their name in the shipper, carrier, and driver section of the BOL. Why is this? We didn’t manufacture the product, we don’t own the trucks that we drive, but the hazmat employer does.
Hi Christine, Thank you for your question! I will reach out to you when I have a clear answer from an expert on hazardous materials shipping/transportation regulations. Thank you! - RM (support@Lion.com )

So are we able to ship drones with extra lithium batteries overseas?
Thank you for your comment! The FAQ at the end of this page explains who needs training to ship lithium batteries and why lithium cells/batteries are regulated in transportation: www.lion.com/training/lithium-batteries-training
Hi Lion Technology Inc. I need some help here please. I have the following shipment that I want to send as air cargo. It consist of 51 loose batteries. These batteries are identical. They are lithium alloy batteries. Each battery contains 10 cells. Each battery is rated at 600 mAh. I intend packing 25 batteries into one package (package A), and the remaining 26 batteries into another package (package B). What Sections (I, IA, IB, II) would the respective packages be please? 🤷♂ My colleagues and I are in the dark regarding this shipment. Please help. Thank you.
Hi John, Thank you for reaching out! We provide in-depth training on the latest standards to ship lithium batteries by air in the Shipping Lithium Batteries Online Course (Lion.com/Lithium). if you are looking for a shipping guide or other assistance from our subject matter experts and/or instructors, please check out the Services page on our website for information about what Lion can do. You're welcome! Thank you for watching, Craig.
Came across your video researching the topic. truly impressed with the depth of knowledge and your willingness to share and create these videos. Thank you so much
Lol. What depth of knowledge was exhibited in this video? It was obviously very superficial due to the nature of the video. If this video impressed you due to its "depth of knowledge" content, then you really do need training on this topic.🤣🤣🤣
Thank you for watching the video, Troy! 👍
Thank you for this information.
Thank you.
Thank you for this video.
What if your waste container is a 5-gallon container, or a 4-Liter bottle, or an even lower volume? Would "Empty" be defined as < 3% of the total volume of the container (of a non-acutely P-Listed RCRA Haz Waste, such as a U-Listed or F-Listed waste)? I'm speaking in reference to things like laboratories where lower volumes of RCRA waste are generated.
Yes, non-bulk containers are <119 gallons in capacity use the 3% rule.

The reference 40 CFR 262.34 is out dated. Video not up to date with current EPA CFR 40 regulations for training.
Thank you for your comment Daniel. You are correct. We posted this video in 2016, shortly before EPA's Generator Improvements Rule took effect. Among other revisions, that rulemaking re-organized the hazardous waste management regulations for generators. The training requirements for hazardous waste personnel at large quantity generator facilities were moved to 40 CFR 262.17(a)(7), for example. I've corrected our video Title accordingly. For the most up to date regulatory information, please visit Lion.com or check out our RCRA Training FAQ: bit.ly/3v8JYID
